As the paterfamilias of your noble family, you stand at the start of an adventure. You begin with three dedicated citizens, ready to work for you. Become Protector of Pompeii and leave your mark on history!
In the board game Pompeii, everything revolves around strategy, clever use of resources, trade and negotiations to build your powerful empire. Every round, you put your citizens to work, performing essential actions. Gather resources, convert raw materials into valuable products, construct impressive buildings, train specialists, recruit new citizens, and trade to strengthen your position. You decide the course of your strategy!

Train specialized workers, each with unique skills, and activate Pompeii’s city cards to unlock additional skills.
Protector of Pompeii
Pay attention to the progress of your opponents as they are not idle. Everyone has ambitions. Players gather wealth to mobilize their Roman army, and negotiate shared sacrifices to the Vesuvius to balance the wealth. Only the first player to station their army at the Castrum, the Pompeian military camp outside the city, will become Protector of Pompeii and win the game!
The threat of Mount Vesuvius
But be warned! While you strive for victory, Mount Vesuvius looms ominously in the distance. This unpredictable volcano could erupt at any moment, costing you more than you bargained for. Together with your opponents you must make enough sacrifices to keep the volcano in good spirits. Ignore the warning signs, and you may find yourself buried under layers of deadly ash and molten lava.
Will you outsmart your opponents and the Vesuvius, and become Protector of Pompeii? In this game, it’s all about smart strategies, perfect timing, trading and negotiation with your fellow players. Pompeii challenges you not only to claim the city for yourself but also to survive as a group!
